This article is about linking an Amazon account for your gym. For information about how Amazon works for payment authorization, see: Explaining Authorization.

Setting up Amazon Payments takes some careful attention. Amazon will need to verify that you are who you say you are, and that you're running a legitimate business. We have a rep there that will help you through the verification process if necessary. You will need your EIN and will be asked to fax in a statement from your corporate bank account.

SERIOUSLY: Don't skip steps 5 & 6. Please follow all of the steps carefully!

Step 0:

Register your gym and login to WODTogether. This process MUST START INSIDE WODTOGETHER. If you register your account directly at payments.amazon.com, it will not work.

After you register your gym, go to Coach's Dashboard / Gym Settings. Clink the link to Configure Amazon Payments.

You will then go through the following steps:

Steps 1 & 2

Click the link to Configure Amazon Payments in Gym Settings

Step 3:

Step 4:

You will then be asked to confirm the WODTogether Marketplace settings. Once you confirm, you will be taken back to WODTogether where you must Save the Gym Settings.

Step 5:

You will receive several emails from Amazon, complete verification and link a bank account to your new Amazon Payments account. Also, please email support@wodtogether.com with the email address used to register your Amazon Payments account so we can get you on our preferred client list with Amazon.

The next step is to customize what shows up on your clients credit card statement. To do so, follow these links:

Step 6:

Edit your gym's website (the one you listed in Step 5 under Sales Venue) to have a privacy policy. Just add a tiny link off the main page to a "Privacy Policy" page. You can copy and paste the language below, it has been approved by Amazon and several of our gyms use this exact privacy policy.

Policies

Privacy Policy

We don't share your private information with anyone, ever.

Terms & Conditions

When signing up for a membership or purchasing products you are authorizing charges to your credit card via Amazon Payments. If you have signed a contract, you will be held to the terms and conditions specified in your contract.

Refund Policy

In the case of defective products you are entitled to a refund. Terms of your membership are described in your contract.

Step 7:

You can now create products in your shop and take offline payments, but do not attempt to take Amazon payments from customers until you hear from Amazon that your account has been verified. This will just lead to set backs in the verification process. Once you hear from Amazon that your account is ok, you are free to sell any product that you wish to your members.
